Modesto, CA, January 31, 2025 – The City of Modesto has launched a new online portal for vendors to submit bids, powered by OpenGov. This new cloud portal improves the City’s end-to-end procurement process. With the latest software, the City can operate the procurement process efficiently and adapt to changing vendor and policy needs while strengthening public trust through leveraging automated, collaborative, and transparency tools within the software.

The National Procurement Institute recently certified the procurement software from OpenGov with an Achievement of Excellence Certification for meeting the capabilities required to run a modern procurement program specific to supplier engagement and evaluations.

“OpenGov will help the City establish a faster, clearer, and more efficient procurement process that simplifies workflows for staff and vendors,” says DeAnna Christensen, Director of Finance for the City of Modesto.

With the implementation of OpenGov Procurement, the City is able to improve its procurement process through:

  • Ensuring compliant and timely solicitation development for the City.
  • Provide improved engagement and communications with vendors, with the automation of tabulations, notes, public calendar updates, notifications, on-line instructions, Q&A, live chat support, and reporting.

Modesto joins more than 1,900 public sector organizations leveraging OpenGov to revolutionize work processes with cloud-based software designed specifically for government needs.  Learn more about the City of Modesto’s e-procurement portal.
