Each year, the City of Modesto recognizes local businesses and organizations for their waste reduction efforts, innovations in recycling and ongoing efforts to make their businesses and organizations green and sustainable. This year’s response was overwhelming! Businesses and organizations challenged themselves to look for creative and innovative ways to become “greener”, conserve valuable resources and reduce their carbon footprint.
